Marian Street Theatre, Sydney prides itself at shaping the face of tomorrow's entertainment by acting as a cradle for the budding talents of theatre and providing them with a platform to display their theatrical prowess. Also known as Marian Street Theatre For Young People, it is Australia's longest running children's theatre and drama school.

Now it has been more than three decades that the children's theatre and drama classes at Marian St Theatre for Young People have provided children with their first rich experience of theatre, providing invaluable training to young people of all ages in theatrical and life skills. In fact, many of today's leaders in the community and the arts are a proud protégé of this school of theatre that inspired and nurtured them to be what they are today.

Though Marian Street Theatre & The Northside Theatre Company has ceased operation after being a significant part of Australian theatre for 35 long years, due to financial, however, the Children's Theatre & Drama Centre has continued operation. It still runs shows under separate management.Marian Street Theatre, Sydney contains; The Marian Street Theatre for Young People, which presents children's theatre for 3-9 year olds.

There is a Drama School in Marian Street Theatre, Sydney that offers classes in all facets of theatre for those between the age of 5 to adult. The regular class schedule is further supplemented by a series of school holiday workshops offering training in specialized fields.

Every year at Marian Street Theatre, Sydney, the Children's Theatre presents a season of three shows along with additional shows in other venues around Sydney. All the participants in these shows are in the age group of 3-10 year olds and are performed by senior students of the drama school.
