The Eight Great Temples (Badachu) is the site where Eight Buddhist temples are nestled on the Cuiwei Hill and Lushi Hill in the western hill district of Beijing. Badachu is, in fact, a large park located about 25 km away from Central Beijing. Spread in an area of 250 hectares, Badachu Park consists eight historical sites including Buddhist temples and nunneries.The Badachu Park offers large area where the visitors can stroll and move from one temple to another. In the process, they can enjoy the fascinating sights and scenes of ancient pine, cypress, willow and gingko trees that surround the place.
The Eight Great Temples include The Temple of Eternal Peace (Chang'ansi). This temple was constructed in 1504 during the Ming Dynasty and is situated in Cuiwei Hill.
