The street in Chengdu, which depicts certain old culture of the city and also has many entertainment centres is none other than the renowned Jinli Recreational and Cultural Street. In ancient times, Jinli Street in Chengdu was one of the busiest of commercial boulevards of the Kingdom of Shu, during the Three Kingdoms Period (220-280). It is therefore known as the "First Street of the Shu Kingdom."

Jinli Recreational and Cultural Street as it is termed today is located is adjacent to the Wuhou Memorial Temple, close to Yanshikou, the center of the city of Chengdu. And the Jinjiang River lies to the north and the Rainbow Bridge to the east.
