Designed in the year 1996 by Gary Player, the Sand River (Shahe) Golf Club is situated just north of Hong Kong on the Shenzhen Bay between the Shenzhen Golf Club and the Sand River, on the way from Shenzhen to Shekou. You can book transportation from the Lok Ma Chau in the New Territories which offers a car park for visitors and a coach to the golf course. A design built on reclaimed land, the Sand River (Shahe) Golf Club occupies 380 acres around the Shenzhen Bay.

The layout is a 9-hole course that is floodlit for evening golf. It is more than a club, for Player has also established a golfing academy with full length ‘situational’ holes, pitching and putting greens, practice bunkers and a driving range. The clubhouse comprises 40 rooms, all of which are comfortably equipped with modern amenities. For all your relaxation, there are services such as massage tune-up, steam baths and Jacuzzi as well as both table and lawn tennis, a fully equipped gym and swimming pools.

This could be the most convenient golf course in Southern China. Recharging facilities include: Chinese, Japanese and western restaurants as well as a coffee shop.
