Lishan, the capital of the Shaanxi Province in China, offers many interesting and amazing tourist attractions. Lishan, Xian is a well-known tourist spot in Xian.

Located on the northern part of Mount Qinling, Lishan offers breathtaking views of natural beauty and charm. It is also known as “Black Horse Mountain”, since its shape is so similar to that of a horse. During the Tang Dynasty, this place was a favorite hideaway for the rulers and Emperors, who used to climb up this mountain in order to observe and enjoy panoramic and stunning views. Some other major attractions here include the Hot Springs, the statues and pavilions which come on the way to the mountain.

Lishan, Xian also bears a historical significance. The Huaqing Pool Resort at the foot of this mountain where Emperor Xuan Zong used to spend his leisure hours with Lady Yang. It is said that on the eastern part of the mountain, there is a site where the Emperor Xuan Zong and Lady Yang professed vows of love to each other. On the east of Huaqing Pool is the pavilion where Chiang Kaishek was captivated. To the east of the Old Mother Hall, you can see the ruins of Longevity Hall. The Xixiuling Peak offers the views of the ruins of the Beacon Towers and also of the tomb of the Emperor Qin Shi Huang.

The cable car constructed in the slopes of Lishan, Xian is another notable feature attracting a considerable amount of tourists. It provides smooth and pleasurable rides, along with spectacular views of the mountain. It is in this place that the Imperial Resort Palace was constructed. It is on the eastern side of Mount Lishan where the Terracotta Army was discovered. However, it is also to be remembered that this place is subjected to landslides.
