Cologne happens to be the oldest city of Germany situated on the bank of River Trave in north-west Germany and for that reason it is undoubtedly enriched with its long history, to get a justification of the above you have to visit Cologne Museum Festival at least once in your life. Transport:
  -   By air: readily accessible from Cologne-Bonn and Düsseldorf airports. By taking the train (S-Bahn) S13 you will reach the Cologne central station in about 15 minutes. The train leaves at 20-minute intervals on weekdays and 30-minute intervals on weekends and holidays. A taxi ride from the airport to the city centre takes about 20 minutes and will cost around 20 Euro.
  -   By train: regular services from Frankfurt, Berlin, Brussels, Paris and many other points to Köln Hauptbahnhof or Deutzer Bahnhof. The central train station is immediately below the Cathedral.
  -   By road: Shuttle buses circulate along two loops, one hourly and one every 90 minutes. Many of the museums are within walking distance of one another in the centre, however, and all can be reached by regular public transport.
