Cologne Bonn Airport is an International Airport situated in the Wahner Heide nature reserve, 15 km southeast of Cologne and 16 km northeast of Bonn. It is the sixth largest airport in Germany and one of the country's few 24-hour airport and one of the fastest growing airports in Germany.

Transport:

By Rail: From the airport railway station S-Bahn trains run, which is located between 1st and 2nd Terminals, to Cologne Hauptbahnhof (central station) and to other destinations of the city.
By Taxis: Taxis are always available outside the 1st and 2nd Terminals; a taxi takes around 15 minutes from the airport to either Bonn or Cologne city centre.
By Bus: Airport shuttles are available to/from Bonn (journey time: 35 minutes) and Cologne (journey time: 20 minutes). There is also a bus-service to Düsseldorf central station (journey time: 60 minutes) from 2nd Terminal.

Passenger Facilities:

Luggage: Left-luggage and a lost property office are based by Terminal 2 Arrivals.
Food and Beverages: Restaurants, bars, fast-food outlets, snack bars and cafés are found in both terminals, in the Departures and Arrivals areas; the buffet-bars in Terminal 2 Arrivals and Departures are generally kept open for 24 hours.
Money and communications: Services include a post office in Terminal 2 Arrivals, as well as banks in both terminals (Departures), with ATMs and bureau de change. Stamp and phone card machines are available in Terminal 1 Departures Areas B and C.
Shopping: There are duty-free shops in both terminals Departures and in Terminal 1 Arrivals, various other shops in both Terminals including a supermarket in Terminal 2 Arrivals.
Other facilities: There is a travel centre in Terminal 2. A first-aid facility is situated in Terminal 1 Arrivals.
