The restaurant had been established in July 1993 and since then is being managed by a team of expert chefs who dedicate themselves to the task of serving the city with some of the best recipes of France.
Gargantua boasts of an excellent menu which spans exotic French recipes. Chef Klaus Trebes heads a team which ensures that every dish is cooked to perfection to promise the diners an unforgettable dining experience. The menu here is regularly modified to incorporate mouth watering variations as the chefs create magic with the seasonal specialties. A sumptuous blend of fresh ingredients and authentic French spices make the dishes here extra special! One can discern a subtle German influence in the food served here, thus appealing to the local diners as well. The connoisseurs here would recommend some of the restaurants specialties like its creamy soup with black sausage and Perigord truffles, or a zesty risotto with radicchio. The spicy chorizo sausage served here are also a popular favorite. Gargantua houses an excellent collection of wines and a corner of the restaurant is kept separate for the ones who want to relish the wine only.
Gargantua offers a fantastic ambience with its elegant décor and outdoor arrangement. With marble tables and delicate French furniture, the patch of green in front of the restaurant functions as an excellent space for sprawling with a glass of the wine. The interiors too are adorned in an elegant country house fashion. Warm colors and blazing chandeliers add a mellowed hue to restaurant. Gargantua has accommodations for about 50 guests, and the garden can house another 30.
Gargantua remains open from 12 in the afternoon to 2 at night from Monday to Friday. On Saturdays however, it closes at 10, and stays closed for the Sunday.
