Wiesbaden, Germany is the capital of the state of Hessen and it is located on the northern bank of the Rhine River. It is just a little distance from Frankfurt and though it is a German city it has a population consisting more of American military personnel.

From here one can see the entire city spread out in all its splendor. There is a funicular that helps in connecting the city with the hill. Wiesbaden also has one of the three Hessian Museums. This is also one of the major attractions of the place.

Wiesbaden, Germany is very popular for the spa and the thermal springs. There are innumerable bath houses and these have been mentioned in the Roman documents.

Transportation

There are the excellent train services that intersect the city and it is helpful indeed especially when you are conducting the sightseeing trips to places. There are different local trains to Frankfurt, Darmstadt, Mainz, Limburg, and Koblenz via Rüdesheim. There are the buses too that ply and these are coordinated through the Rhein-Main-Verkehrsverbund. The nearest airport is the Frankfurt- Hahn airport that aides further in moving from one place to another.
