Munich is the capital city of Bavaria and one of the largest cities of Germany. Over the years, this city has gradually emerged as one of the popular tourist locations in Europe. The smallest part in the Olympiapark, Munich is the Olympic Area which is located on the southern side of the Georg-Brauchle-Ring and on the northern part of the Olympic See. This area features the central Stadium which hosts cultural events. You will get to see many other architectural wonders in this park. Some of the notable structures are Olympic Hall, Olympic Swim Hall, Olympic Ice Rink, Olympia Cycle Center, Werner-von-Linde Hall, Olympic Tower and Olympic Village.

Situated on the western part of the Olympiapark, Munich is the Olympic Media City. It is bounded by Riesstraße on the western side and the Landshuter Allee on the eastern part. The Olympic Sea, the Olympic Mountain, Open-Air Theatron, Sea Stage, and Carillon are the other significant features of this park. You will get to see the hand and foot prints of some eminent personalities in the Munich Olympic Walk of Stars. You can also visit the Russian-Orthodox Chapel.

Among the events which are usually organized in this famous Olympiapark, Munich, some of the noteworthy ones are International Exhibition, Holiday on Ice, Six-Day Run, Night of the Proms, Supercross-Cup, Munich Triathlon, Summer Music Theatron and Tollwood Festival.
