Kugler Alm Restaurant in Munich

Kugler Alm Restaurant in Munich

Kugler Alm Restaurant in Munich is a traditional Bavarian pub that has a special meal menu as well comprising first-class local specialties. The best thing about this place after its dining and wining is its atmosphere- a beautiful beer garden with seating for 2,500, a small sun-terrace and a service station (including a pump) for cyclists.
The latter tradition can be traced back to the days of Franz Xaver Kugler, the landlord in 1922, who topped up his glasses of beer with lemonade during the post-war beer shortage. His novel innovation was given the name of 'Radler' (cyclist) after his regular customers, and the drink (half beer and half lemonade) has now become famous throughout Germany.
Kugler Alm Restaurant in Munich is among the oldest beer gardens in Munich and is a perfect place to stop for a beer and Schmalznudel after a bike tour
