The Tibet House Museum is a place where the Tibetan culture is represented. Dalai Lama fled from the hostility of the Chinese troops and came to India. The ground floor of the museum has a shop which sells the art pieces from the country of Tibet. The jewelry, art pieces, handicrafts, clothes and the medicines are sold in this shop. The best attraction of the Tibet House Museum is the painted rolls of the 15th century. These are called as tangkhas. There are pictures of monasteries, and Buddha figures. The museum also displays musical instruments; old currency notes, sculptures and several other things that attract the attention of the visitors. The museum not only displays the work from Tibet but from the colonies near to it.

The Tibet House Museum remains open everyday except on Saturdays and Sundays. The visiting hours for the tourists are 9.30 A.M. TO 1 P.M. AND 2 P.M. TO 5.30 P.M.

The Tibet House Museum is located very near to the Pragati maidan metro station though the functional metro station is the central Secretariat. The tourists can take the local buses, taxies or auto rickshaws to reach the place.
