Getting to Delhi by Road: New Delhi has five National Railways passing through it. Five National Highways pass through New Delhi. The Grand Trunk Road (National Highway 1) connects Delhi to the North of India including Amritsar and Agra. The National Highway 2 connects Delhi places to the regions in the east including Calcutta while the National Highway 8 passes through Jaipur in Rajasthan in the West. Other small towns and cities in and around Delhi is well connected through roads.
