British Council, Kolkata is the hub of myriad activities. The current premises of British Council, Kolkata is much less engulfing than its predecessor. Though the Council did its best to restrict all movements but almost a year later projects and events have increased by leaps and bounds.

The British Council, Kolkata in its new avatar has dawned a much more vibrant look and that aided by a cheerful bunch of staff has transformed the British Council from its earlier somber form, which exuded a sort of intimation in people to a place to visit every day. In fact, with the growing popularity of British Council, Kolkata it has now attained the status of a landmark in Camac Street where it is situated.

On your visit to British Council, Kolkata you can see unending rows of examination aspirants and library visitors studying in the library, engrossed in their work. The council also acts as a cultural center and a seat of learning and counseling where a lot of cultural events and educational counseling go on for hours. See all of this, under one roof!

At any given time, nearly 200 people are utilizing and being benefited by the resources of the Council. Most of these resources have an international slant to them, which helps those using them, to aspire beyond the horizon and reach there as well.
