The Citizen's Park, Kolkata, is an 11-acre recreational park, which was inaugurated by the Union defence minister Pranab Mukherjee on 8th May, 2005. The Citizen's Park, Kolkata, is an effort of the Calcutta Municipal Corporation (CMC), which decided to beautify the landscape of Kolkata, and turn its many open lands into recreational facilities for the public.
