Introduction:

Malad is a suburb of the great metropolitan city of Mumbai. This suburb has a large settlement of variety of ethnicity. There is so much diversity in the casts and religions that live in this suburb. Leaving aside the Maharashtrians who are the natives of Mumbai and particularly this region of the Western part, there are many other religions that reside in this suburb. History:

The first movie company that was ever founded in India has its roots in this very suburb of Mumbai – Malad. Himanshu Rai and Devika Rani founded this company that was founded in 1934 in Malad, Mumbai was known as the Bombay Talkies Limited or also known as just the Bombay Talkies . It was the high-tech movie studio during this time. It provided sound and echo-proof stages, laboratories and editing rooms, and preview theatre even in its initial times. It was a public limited company. It was one of the companies that were registered under the Indian Companies Act.
