Gulmarg – the meadow of flowers – is blessed by nature’s bounty. This is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful places in the valley. A famous skiing spot located near Gulmarg is Khilanmarg which can be accessed by a pony ride. A beautiful lake that remains frozen till the month of June is the Alpather Lake which lies across the Apharwat peak.
