Mike’s Place in Tel Aviv was set up in the year 2001 by a gentleman named Assaf Ganzman. The bar is located in front of the beach just next to the American Embassy. The bar has a distinct history of its own. The first outlet of this bar was opened in the year 1993 by a retired photo-journalist, called Mike Viggoda, in Jerusalem. Assaf Gazebo, a blues singer of this pub, took over the bar in the year 1995 after Vegoda left for Canada. Over the years the bar acquired a lot of fame and grew in size. As part of the expansion plans, the Tel Aviv outlet was opened in the year 2001.
