Hiroshimas Planetarium

Hiroshima's Planetarium is located on the fourth floor of the Children's Library and Science Museum. The Planetarium consists of a vast 20-meter diameter dome, which bears the simulation of the sky at night. Hiroshima Planetarium was built in 1976.

Hiroshima's Planetarium plays a 50-minute astronomical programme and also hosts lot of shows that provides wonderful information about the constellations. There is an admission fee charged for entering the Planetarium. The fees are 440 yen for adults and 220 yen for the school children.

Barring Mondays and National holidays, Hiroshima's Planetarium remains open the entire week through. Most of the weekday morning projections are booked for the school children, in the event of which it is difficult to procure seats. Once the projection starts it is considered improper to leave or enter the hall.

The projection timings are on weekdays it is 9:50 11:00 13:30 15:00 and on Sundays, National holidays and School holidays the timings are: 50 11:00 13:20 14:40 16:00.

Hiroshima Planetarium does not have parking facility but it is easily accessible from any point in the city. The nearest tram stop is Gen Baku Domu Mae.
