The songs are all in English. The Japanese accentuated English may sound funny to an American but no one really minds anything.
The Le Club Jazz provides one with a unique opportunity to find out one’s place on the talent spectrum. Though mainly frequented by the want to be singers and musicians, often best local talents drop in. The Jam session then truly becomes a pleasurable experience for your auditory senses.
If you are entering this club for the first time you will get a red carpet welcome. People will applaud at your performance even if your performance can at best be described atrociously bad. However, from second time onwards you will be treated just like any other entrants and people will not applaud or even listen to your song.
This club is located at the heart of downtown Kyoto. The entry fee to Le Club Jazz in Kyoto is quite reasonable. At a cost of 2000 Yen, you can get 2 drinks and a plate full of nuts. The real incentive is however the chance to stand on the stage and sing to a packed house. There is a house band at this club that creates the ambience with one or two tunes. After that literally anything and everything goes.
