Heihachi - Jaya Restaurant, Kyoto, established in 1576, is situated along the Takano River overlooking Mt. Hiei in the East. In its Japanese garden, you can enjoy cherry blossoms in spring and colorful leaves of maple trees in autumn. At the entrance of Heihachi Tea House Inn stands a four-hundred-year-old Kigyumon Gate, which was transferred from a Zen Buddhist temple. The waitresses, dressed in the same style as in old days, welcome you at the gate.Please enjoy the delicate taste, fragrance and colors of “the special full course of the month” at Heihachi - Jaya Restaurant, Kyoto. Strictly selected seafood and vegetables are cooked only by the chefs of top quality. For lunch, we recommend you to try the exquisite combination of Japanese dishes, which is served from 11:30 a.m. to 15:00 p.m. The restaurant also provides a private room for dinner.
Heihachi - Jaya Restaurant and Inn also boasts of a Kamaburo (Japanese style sauna) where you can relax. This is the oldest type of sauna bath in Japan dating back to the period of Emperor Temmu (late 7th century), who is believed to have cured arrow wounds by bathing Kamaburo. The temperature inside the Kamaburo is set around 60 degrees C or 140 degrees F.
Heihachi - Jaya Restaurant in Kyoto also has two banquet halls, one on the first floor with a stage and a seating arrangement for 50 to 70 people and the second banquet is on the second floor without a stage and provides a seating capacity of about 30 to 50 people.
There is an Old Tea House with 10 to 20 seats, a middle room with 8 to 15 seats and private rooms, which are total 8 in number.
