Aichi Prefectural Museum of Art is located on the tenth floor of Arts Center in Sakae district. The Museum's collection spans the 20th century art of both European and American, and Japanese art dating from late 19th century to the more recent works. Tatsukichi Fujii, a reputed art connoisseur, donated around 1,460 exhibits of the museum in 1955.

Aichi Prefectural Museum of Art allots first three Exhibition Rooms for Temporary Exhibitions, which apart from including those exhibits loaned from other museums also includes works of aspiring artists from the region. The next five rooms house the Museum's permanent collection of the museum.

Apart from the paintings of maestros like Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse and Gustav Klimt, this Museum in Nagoya also has sculptures by Ernst Ludwig and other German Expressionists.

Arts Center that houses Aichi Prefectural Museum of Art is known to be a veritable cultural complex. Apart from the Museum, the twelve-storey building also includes art theaters, rental gallery and art library.

Aichi Prefectural Museum of Art is located only couple of minutes away from Sakae station on the Higashiyama and Meijo subway lines.

The Museum remains open on all days except for Monday. The entry fee for adults is charged at 500 yen per person.
