These courses have been designed by famous golf course design firms and offer added amenities and attractions like restaurants, pro shops, lodging facilities etc.

Several top notch golfers like Nick Price, Brad Hughes, and Tiger Woods have vouched for these courses most of which have been able to shrug off the reputation of being expensive.

The slow growth of the Japanese economy has also fuelled the growth of the game in the country as most of the members exclusive clubs have relaxed their rules and regulations and have partially opened up the clubs for non members.

  -   Kazusa Monarch Country Club
This club was designed in the middle of the 80's by famous golf course designer jack Nicklaus and it takes nearly an hour and a half to reach this place from down town Tokyo. This club is open through out the year and non members are also welcome. Other than providing an exciting golf course this place has other facilities like restaurants, snack bar, pro shop, pool bar and staying facilities. The charges for this course range from 15,000 yen to 20,000 yen including the fee for the caddy.

  -   Yomuyuri Country Club
This club designed by Sechi Inoue and operational in 1964 has had the privilege of hosting the world cup of golf once. It features several obstacles like blind tee shots, well placed bunkers and mountainous terrain. The best thing about this club is that it is open to the public also.

  -   Wakasu Golf Links
This golf course is a course with loads of hazards but with well placed bunkers and has been good enough to hold a number of amateur and professional competitions.

  -   Kaganei Country Club
If you have the money then this is the place to be as it claims to be the most exclusive golf course on this planet earth. Membership of this club can dig a big hole in your pocket but who cares about them if you have far more inviting holes.
