Warrior Celt has been reigning large in Tokyo for quite a while. One of the oldest bars in Tokyo, Warrior Celt is a haven for those who swear by their pints. There are bars in Japan where music lords and there are Tokyo pubs where it is all about the ambience. But the crates rule at the Warrior Celt and what an assortment you have here.

Draught ales are the prime draws here and you have here a heady bag consisting of Bishops Finger Strong Ale, Spitfire Bitter, Guinness, Heineken and Kilkenny. These start from around 600 yen. Other luminaries in the beer brigade include the Badger Ale, Tangle Foot, Firsty Ferret, Bandford Fly and the Whitstable Bay Organic Ale.
Warrior Celt is renowned for its selection of bourbons and cocktails like the Salty Dog, B52 and Andy’s G&T. Warrior Celt boasts of quiet a few who’s-who of the whisky world, like Bowmore, Black Adder, Locke’s, Jameson’s and Laphroaig. What is more, these drinks don’t cost the earth too. The cocktails come for around 500 yen a glass while the whiskies start from around 700 yen a dram.

Hit the bar before 7pm and you can have all the drinks for only yen 500 and on Thursdays the ladies can have their beers for just 500 yen.

You can well understand that when it comes to the drinks, Warrior Celt stands head and shoulders above most of the Japanese bars.

The Food At The Warrior Celt

Hobgoblin, What The Dickens and the like. Everything’s agreed. But Warrior Celt, Tokyo will surely leave you dizzy with its collection of drinks. Things get headier once the gastronomical delights at this joint take over.

Cuisine at the Warrior Celt starts at the British shores with shepherd’s pie, fish and chips, steak and kidney pie and roast beef with mashed potatoes, traipses into the Scottish Highlands with haggis gratin and haggis and mash and travels all the way up the Mediterranean sunny countryside with humus and pita bread and black curry.
Other delicacies on offer are Caesar’s salad, hammon and salami pizza, Raj chicken and an exotica called sea eel accompanied by chips.

The prices are as always, reasonable, starting from about 300 yens.

Go to Warrior Celt only if you are dead serious about your wining and drinking rituals. The place is open on all days from five in the evening to five the next morning, except for the Sundays and Mondays when it downs its shutters at midnight. It is destined to give you a whole new insight into what Tokyo nightlife has on offer.
