Amataro Dance Club

Amataro Dance Club

If it's the Ministry of Sound in London, then it has to be the Amataro Dance Club in Tokyo. Nightlife in Japan is all set to dazzle clubbing circles all over the world with its breed of heady night spots.

In Japan, nightlife comes in a medley of forms. You have the conventional kinds of Japanese night clubs, the Izakayas, karaoke bars, cigar bars and sports bars, theme bars and lounge bars. In Tokyo, bars and night clubs come by the dozen and these are the favorite haunting places of Japanese office-goers, out for a pint and a jive after the day's work is over.

About The Amataro Dance Club

The Amataro, Tokyo is an "izakaya". Izakaya is the Japanese for a drinking establishment that also serves food. In a traditional izakaya you will find the guests seated on tatami mats and dining and drinking from low tables. The fare is usually Japanese; sushi, sashimi and the like, accompanied by beer.

Located in Shibuya-ku in Tokyo's chic Roppongi quarters, the Amataro Dance Club is one of the most popular night clubs in Tokyo. The prices here are quite reasonable. Spacious and with subdued lighting, Amataro opens its doors to its patrons from five in the evening to five the next morning.

Apart from the varied musical fare you can have your fill from a selection of mouth-watering delicacies, set courses that start from around 1,980 Yen. Amataro forms a part of a large chain of izakayas, having as many as 34 outlets spread all over Tokyo and as is the custom for larger izakayas, the Amataro too follows a nomehodai form of dining style. In this "drink all you can" form of dining, you pay a single lump sum (which is around 2980 yens) and during the course of the next two-three hours of merrymaking, you and the other members of your group can call for drinks as often as they wish.

Along with the food and the drinks comes a quaint view of the Chiba city, for free too.

Tokyo Nightlife In And Around The Amataro

Nightlife in Tokyo begins and ends at Roppongi. THE night club capital of Japan, Roppongi has a heady horde of night clubs like the Lexington Queen, Velfarre, Propaganda and Space Lab Yellow, apart from the Amataro, of course. When you are in these parts of Tokyo, night clubs beckon you from all corners and the regulars vouch that the lure is hard to resist.
