Roti
If one is looking for restaurants in Tokyo serving American food and American ambience, Roti in Roppongi will definitely top the list. Mingling the casual air of American food joints with the elegance of the classic French ones, Roti caters authentic cuisines from the opposite coast of the Pacific.Crafted By chef Ian Tozer, Roti brings a menu to lure the tourists and locals alike. The most visible item in the restaurant is probably its huge rotisserie that fills the room with the appetizing smell of skewed chicken. In fact, very few miss the rotisserie chicken of the place, and the juicy cheeseburger is also a must-have for the diners. Roti lists a delicious range of choices with grilled steaks, sea food, signature salads, tarts, cakes and puddings being the most ordered items. The place has a carefully chosen variety of wines from California, Washington, Oregon, and also from Australia and New Zealand. A choice of beers from Oregon's Rogue brewery and Redhook in Seattle brings to Tokyo the distinctive taste of American micro-brewed beer.
The restaurant is mostly known for the relaxed informal room that it provides to its diners. The large patio provides enough room for 30 people to sprawl about as they dine. The large dining room can fit in another 45, and for the ones who miss the open air of the terrace, the dining room has giant windows that rise up to the ceiling to provide an excellent view. The restaurant is furnished simply to give it a casual look. The bar is adorned by a huge floral decoration that balances the otherwise minimalist décor.
Roti remains open seven days a week serving lunch and dinner everyday, with special brunch and breakfast menus for the weekends. Lunch is served from 11.30 to 2.30 in the afternoon, and the dinner hours stretch from 6 to 11, with the last orders taken at 10 pm.
