Selan is an Italian restaurant which is favorably located in the opening of the Icho-Namiki Street. The street, we all know, leads to the famous Meiji-Jingu-gaien Park. Selan serves Italian food but with a perceptible touch of Japanese and French cuisines.

Selan makes optimum use of its wonderful location with an outdoor cafe; the quiet environ outside Selan lies shaded in numerous trees. During colder months, outdoor heaters enable Selan's terrace to remain functional. The terrace is extremely popular for Sunday lunches and tea time.

The interior of Selan is equally appealing with tasteful decors. The restaurant upstairs looks outside with a large window through which seeps, in generous proportions, the calmness of the surrounding. The kitchen in Selan being an open one you can watch the chefs work their spells on the various mouth watering delicacies.

Selan serves the usual Italian favorites like pasta and pizza along with other grander delights like roasted duck with black and green olive sauce and baked scampi with black chili sauce.

The food in Selan is not exorbitantly charged at all. Pasta and pizza are priced at ¥1,200-¥1,660; the main dishes come at ¥2,200-¥2,800, while the set lunches come at ¥1,800-¥4,000.

Business Hours

During the weekdays, Selan opens for lunch at 11.30 am and closes at 2.30 pm. Dinner in Selan is served between 6 pm-9.30 pm. On Saturdays Selan opens 11 am-2.30 pm and 6-9.30 pm. On Sundays it opens 11 am-2:30 pm and 6-8:30 pm.


Selan falls on the pathway to Meiji-Jingu-gaien Park, which has rows of ginkgo trees and abounds in serenity and beauty. During weekends one can witness numerous families strolling towards the park, and how often their paths lead them to Selan; if not for pizza or pasta then the freshly squeezed pineapple, apple, orange, grapefruit juices are good enough reason for them to put a brief halt to their outing.
