Designed by Charles Alision, Fuji Golf Course in Yokohama was opened for the public in 1936. The main USP of this green is the location. With Mount Fuji in the background and waves of Pacific Ocean breaking on the shore, the course is a treat for the eyes. With a massive 568 yard par five, the 11th hole in this golf course is the longest hole. Another specialty of this hole is that it is located right at the foot of a lighthouse, which is shaped like a tee peg.

Fuji Golf Course has hosted a lot of tournaments. World Amateur Golf Team Championship for the Eisenhower Trophy was held here in 1960. More recently, Fuji Sankei Classic too was held here and world renowned golfers from around the world participated in this prestigious tournament.

Fuji Golf Course is the most expensive course in Japan. A round of golf in this green costs a whopping 300 American Dollars. This is without Caddy service, which you can avail by paying extra. However, considering the breath taking view, sophisticated facilities and miles of lush greenery; the expense would seem quite justified. This course is a great venue to play golf.
