Now the number 28 is prepended to all fixed phone numbers and 6 to all mobile phone numbers, thereby making all phone numbers of 8 digits in total.
The international access code of Macau is 00, which is required to be dialed followed by country code, area code and the concerned number. For Hong Kong the code is 01 followed by the concerned number.
