Petaling Street or Chinatown as it is popularly known is the destination which comes to life like the bird of paradise - the phoenix - in the evenings. A line of stalls finds shape before the pre-war shops offering customers products of every description, from fake leather items to the customary 'Dunhill' watches. The area attracts locals together with the tourists who are looking for worthy bargains while purchasing inexpensive garments, shoes, fabrics and souvenirs alike.

The Batu Caves Sri Subramaniam Temple which remains open 6 am to 9 pm everyday of the week is one of the most devout Hindu shrines of the country as well as a popular travelers' destination. They are the only limestone figures in the Northern Hemisphere as also the labyrinth of an extensively diverse fauna. There are 272 concrete steps leading to the caves, the chief of which contains the statue of Lord Subramaniam, a Hindu deity. The cave gallery features cave paintings as well as clay figurines.
