The Arulmigu Sri Ramalinga Eeswarar Temple or Alayam as it is known is a brick and stone construction built in the year 1903 by the Malaysian Railway Employees who were in need of a temple in that area. Devotees flocked to this place of worship during the multifarious Hindu festivals. In the year 1980, the temple was slotted to be demolished to pave way for developments in the area.
