Langkawi in Malaysia is an archipelago consisting of a ring of ninety-nine islets lying just below Thailand in the Andaman Sea. The best way to reach this isle is either by sea or by air. The ferry trip from Kuala Perlis to Langkawi takes approximately 45 minutes. Recently the ferry terminal of this place has been improved to cater to the need of the passengers.

Kuala Kedah in Kedah- Ferry services to Langkawi Islands are also offered by this port. A new jetty terminal has been raised to facilitate the passengers and handle the surging tourists visiting Langkawi. The ferry trip from Kuala Kedah to Langkawi takes about one hour and 15 minutes.

Georgetown in Penang Island also provides a ferry service to Langkawi.

Satun in Southern part of Thailand also provides a ferry service to the island of Langkawi.

Besides the ferries, there are also express ferries (high-speed air-conditioned ferries) that also provide regular ferry services to Langkawi every day from both Kuala Kedah (RM18) and Kuala Perlis (RM15).
Express ferries from from Penang (Weld Quay) are also available that provide two services daily to Langkawi Island. The trip takes about 2 hours 30 minutes.
