Location
The Air Hangat Village, Langkawi is located 14 kilometers north west of Kuah.

Description
The place has an impressive three tier fountain together with a 18- meter craved river stone mural. The mural is to remind all about the legendary battle between Mat Cincang and Mat Raya.

Legends
As the name suggests the place in Malaya means hot springs. The word 'Air' stands for water while 'Hangat' is the Malay term for hot .the legends reminds one of the battles of the two feuding families who entered into a mutual rivalry. Once the two families threw a jug of hot water which fell on the ground to give rise to a hot water spring.

How to go
The Air Hangat Vaillage can be accessed both by waterways and roadways. Ferries operated from Kuala Kedah and Kuala Perils requires near about an hour or so to be on the island. If you are opting to reach by roadways then take the North South Expressway move to Kuah via Kedah. Regular flights are there from Kuala Lumpur to the Langkawi airport.
