Casablanca When To Go

Casablanca When To Go

The northwestern city in Morocco on the Atlantic, Casablanca was founded by the Portuguese and under French influence became the largest city of Morocco with the highest population of 2,930,000. It is a coastal city and was once partially destroyed by an earthquake and was rebuilt by Muhammad XVI. Morocco in Africa mostly has a moderate and subtropical climate and gets an occasional feel of the cool breeze of the Mediterranean and Atlantic Ocean. Internally the temperature is more extreme with colder winters and pretty hot summers. The Atlas Mountains even at times experiences a temperature fall to as low as zero degree and thus remains snow covered throughout the year. The northern part of Morocco experiences mostly a rainy and wet winter season making it colder while south experiences a comparatively dry and chilly winter being near the Moroccan Sahara.

It mostly experiences a rainfall in December and March, but due to draught conditions and less rainfall for last few years it's hard to predict the climatic conditions in Morocco and it's moreover highly fluctuating. Morocco offers a diversity of climatic conditions with coast on the west, Atlas Mountains to the interiors of the country and the Sahara Desert to the east of the country. Casablanca being a coastal city has more or less subtropical and humid climatic conditions with a comparatively static and consistent weather condition all the year round though during the winter it gets its share of cold climate and rainfall as well. Due to certain topographical changes and increase in desertification etc. in Morocco, the regular subtropical climate of the coastal city of Casablanca is also undergoing certain changes and has showed increase in its level of pollution and there has been a slip in its ozone layer as well.

Despite these changes the coastal city of Casablanca still remains one of the busiest and well occupied tourist destinations in Morocco due to its subtropical, humid climatic norms it tends to display a consistent seasonal condition all round the year with minor alterations.
