Description of the El Badi Palace, Marrakech- El Badi Palace, Marrakech is Saadian sultan Ahmed al-Mansour's extravagant creation which has often been described as one of the world's most beautiful buildings. The look of the palace is influenced by the Alhambra in Granada.Unfortunately, with the fall of the Saadian dynasty greater part of the El Badi Palace, Marrakech was ruined and plundered. But one can still get a feel of the huge palace while wandering around the old ruins and decaying walls. There are adorable orange groves here. In the ruins of the El Badi Palace, Marrakech dark underground tunnels and dungeons lay waiting to be explored. The inner court of the El Badi Palace, Marrakech measured 135 by 110 meters with a swimming pool in the middle which measured 90 by 20 meters. The pavilion previously had a pyramid shaped roof resting on twelve columns and was utilized by the sultan for state audiences.

El Badi Palace, Marrakech may have been reduced to little more then a ruin. But one should still visit the place to get a feel of this Royal historic building full of storks, who seem to be the new occupants of the palace after the Saadians.
