While visiting to any destination, it is advisable to know about the Etiquette and Behavior that are adopted or used at that place. Etiquette and Behavior in Marrakech are not much different from those prevailing in other parts of Morocco but still it is advisable to know about them so that you would not hurt anybody's feelings regarding their customs and traditions.

The most common etiquette and behavior in Marrakech are about way of talking. One should be polite while talking or asking someone. Shaking hands every time is another general custom prevalent in whole Morocco country.

Morocco has a proper social hierarchical order so people are dealt according to their positions in the society and not in the order in which they arrive. On inviting to someone's home, do not enter until invited to do so and leave your shoes at the door. Use your right hand for eating.

There are some etiquettes in Marrakech regarding the dress up sense. Except at beaches, shorts are not acceptable at other places. Casual clothing is quite acceptable. With the exception of Hassan II Mosque, non-Muslims are not allowed to enter any mosque.

Business appointments should not be scheduled more than a week in advance and should be reconfirmed always.

Apart from gay areas, homosexual acts are strictly illegal all over the country.
