When to Visit Marrakech

The weather conditions in Morocco have led it to be called as "a cold country with a hot sun." With the most golden sun shining over the country almost all year round, the best time to visit Marrakesh is in the spring, from late March to mid-June, when the sky is generally blue and the temperature is still comfortable. This is the peak season in Marrakech, with the only exception of the Christian Holy Week, which brings crowds of vacationers from France. To best answer the question of, “when to visit Marrakech?” it depends on what you want.

Marrakech enjoys a Mediterranean climate, making spring and fall, specifically, March, April, and October the best time to visit. However, if you like a hot sun, come in July, August, or early September. The months between late September and December are pleasant, with cool evenings. January, February, and March are changeable and can sometimes be chilly or rainy.
As the bulk of population in the country is Muslims, the month of Ramadan is a very important month in Marrakech. For the Non-Muslim travelers, it would probably be best to avoid coming here during Ramadan, as during this month long fast all cafés and nearly all restaurants are closed during the day and the pace of work is reduced.
