The Victoria Theatre and Concert Hall is located in the civil district of Singapore, the city of diverse culture, festivals and performing arts. The Victoria Theatre and Concert Hall in Singapore is a complex of two buildings and a clock tower connected together by a common corridor. The complex of the hall started with the building of a town hall in 1862. In the year 1901, erection of a neighboring building began in the memory of the late Queen Victoria. The hall was publicly opened by Sir John Anderson on 18 th October, 1905.

The theatre of Singapore Victoria Theatre and Concert Hall has a seating capacity of 904 people with a stage which is 167.28 square meters in size. The concert hall of Victoria Theatre and Concert Hall of Singapore has 883 seats, and there is a stage which spreads out up to 139.76 square meters in area. The concert hall of the Victoria Theatre and Concert Hall was the main performance venue for the SSO until the Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay in 2002 was completed, and was considered as the venue of the best acoustics in the city of Singapore. In this place the orchestra moved its base in order to take advantage of advanced acoustics and conveniences brought about by technological and architectural advances over the past years.
