Established by Peter Wee in the year 1979, the shop-cum-museum of Katong Antique House attracts the tourists from across the globe for its rare and unique collection of choicest materials. Katong Antique House houses the rare collection of the Wee family's belongings. The Wee family heritage materials have been carefully preserved inside the museum-cum-shop, and these artifacts display a rare elegance and taste for culture. The 70-year-old Rhine stone wedding shoes of his grandfather have been preserved with cares and concern.

Peterson Wee has consulted Singapore History Museum and the Asian Art Museum for building Katong Antique House. They are mainly based on his special liking for the Peranakan Culture.
