It commemorates the arrival of Dr Sun Yat Sen at Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall for eight consecutive times. It was believed that the entire villa of the Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall was brought from England by the Rubber Magnate Teo Eng Hock.
