The Chinese Gardens in Singapore is a unique architectural structure that reveals the Northern Chinese Imperial Style of architecture. Specifically designed by the efficient architect, Prof Yuen-Chen Yu, the Chinese Gardens in Singapore was established in the year 1975. At the entrance you would be greeted by the white rainbow bridge, which is also known as the Pai Hung Ch’iao. After crossing this elegant structure you shall see the typical Chinese arch building consisting of double courtyard and a fishpond. There is also the seven-storey pagoda Ru Yun Ta, which is also another specimen of Chinese architectural style. The Boat Stine and the Tea House also known as the Yao-Yueh Fang and Ming Hsiang Hsieh have been constructed keeping in mind the grand architectural display at Summer Palace. Apart from all these the exquisite Chinese pavilion is worth mention. There are wooden paths that are hemmed with plant rocks, winding streams and also the elegant rocky structures that would make your way all the more charming and entertaining. The serene scenario has been properly balanced by the Bonsal Garden that is constructed in accordance with the Suzhou style. The cost of erecting the same was 3.8 million. It is the residence of 1,000 bonsais that have mostly been imported from China. There is also a Bonsai Training Centre to gear up the youth towards better and healthy future.
