In Singapore like many Europeans nation, Football is more serious than life and death. Such is the love of Singaporeans for the game. Football was introduced in Singapore during the British Rule, in the 19th century. Local Leagues were performed at that time and they became highly popular. A golden era emerged at Singapore with the advent of the Singapore Malaysia Cup.
