Gimhae International Airport, Busan is in Daejeo 2-dong, Gangseo-gu. Gimhae International Airport, Busan started as Busan Suyong airfield in August 1958, and was raised to Gimhae International Airport in September 1963. In 1976 the airport was shifted to its current location in order to plan out expansion of the facilities and changed the name to Gimhae International Airport. Gimhae International Airport, Busan is still progressing along with the native community. About 9,170 thousand passengers use it annually.
