Hanbat Museum of Education in Daejeon is the sanctuary of education, history, and culture established in the oldest school building in the city. It is a school building completed in June 8, 1938. It was used as school building without even single rebuilding, and the UN force and also the North Korean army stationed here during the Korean War. The building of Hanbat Museum of Education in Daejeon is designated as the Daejeon Metropolitan City Cultural Assets Data No. 50. The exclusive features of the museum include:

• The museum is specially designed for education where you can take a look at the entire education from the traditional education to the modern education. It exhibits the textbooks from the schools such as Seodang, Hyanggyo, and Seonggyungwan in the premodern times. New textbooks during the modernization, the textbook under the Japanese rule that Japanese imperialists forced students to study and today's textbooks are also available.

• The exhibition includes the study materials that reflect the effort of students who did their best to study even under the toughest days of the nation such as the pre modern times and after the liberation.

• You can feel the spirit and wisdom of ancestors easily through the reconstructions of old education facilities and a variety of folk relics.

• There are eight exhibition rooms in the museum that gives you an idea of the ancient Seodang (village school; a private school for the study of Chinese classics) centered education as well as the painful memories of Japanese colonialism. The development of Korean education, life of scholars of the past, the daily consumables and tools, an Imperial conference and much more are displayed in all the exhibition rooms of the museum.

• The outdoors exhibition center includes twelve types of animal stone statues, all types of pounding tools, tower, sun clock, water clock including school gate of all types.
