The Dongchundang Park in Daejeon is sort of dedicated park and serves the purpose of protecting one of the richest national treasures of Daejeon related to Dongchundang. Song Jun-gil or Dongchundang was a respected person in Daejeon known for his educational pursuits. He was a Confucian scholar and served the city of Daejeon with his immense knowledge of the culture and history of the Korean city. He had built a beautiful wooden house during the reign of King Hyojong of Joseon Dynasty. The Park built around this building serves to brighten up the place and also provide protection.
