Tani Nomadic Bistro Restaurant is very well known in Seoul. The cuisine is Japanese fusion at its best. It's the best place for Seafood and sushi lovers. The miso cod is glazed with miso and melts in your mouth. The soft shell crab is also delicious. The tempura battered asparagus lobster roll is also delicious and the rainbow roll with different cuts of sashimi is highly recommended. People who don't eat seafood may not like this place, but there is one dish, the beef tenderloin with foie gras on top that is amazing.
The menu is varied and gives you the opportunity to choose from. Starting from salad, sumiyaki, Tani style sushi, Japanese sake, rice and noodles, sushi roll, Tani style Don, a la carte, Hors d" oeuvre, desserts, champagne and Kir Royal you have it all here.
The atmosphere at Tani is dark, romantic and mysterious. There's a lot of wood. The clever interior design creates several nooks for small to large groups of diners in what is actually not a big space. Choose a table by the large glass door-windows facing a small garden. This gives you something refreshing to look at while waiting for your order to arrive. Tani is in the alley behind the Prada shop in Cheongdam Dong.
A few of the staff members can speak in English which is a real help to the customers in understanding the menu. We advise you to make your reservations to avoid rush.
