The Railway Museum in Madrid is a beautiful Museum located at the Las Delicias Station since 1984. The Railway Museum is one of the oldest museums in Madrid. It holds on display a wide variety of traveler's carriages which were used throughout Europe. It also houses a collection of historic locomotives. The Museum also helps one understand the development of Railways (as a mode of transport) in Spain.
The Railway Museum, Madrid, was inaugurated by Alfonso XII in the year 1880. The museum is till date a fine specimen of iron architecture of the nineteenth century.
