Madrid has plenty of beautiful and amusing parks and gardens that range from ancient ones to contemporary establishments. The gardens also vary in size and themes. The greenery, which is common to all the parks, would be a real feast to all your senses. They are not only ideal to spend a leisurely day but also teach you to love the nature around you. The popular parks include Parque del Buen Retiro, Sabatini Gardens and of course the Royal Botanical Garden. However, apart from these, there are innumerable other parks that attracts tourists. Here are the names of some of them:

Parques del Oeste: Created in the early 20th century, the Park of the West, the park is a real treat for the nature lovers. The beautiful rose garden is the most significant feature of this park. The park is huge and you will enjoy walking around the well-tended gardens.

Casa de Campo: This originally used to be the royal hunting grounds in the past. Now the place has been transmuted into miles of parklands. The parkland remains open from 8am to 9pm everyday. The parkland includes a lake where you can spend some quality time rowing a boat. There is also a swimming pool and small snacks corners where you can refresh yourself.

Fuente del Berro: This exceptionally beautiful park dates back to the 17th century. The park exhibits innumerable species of trees collected from all parts of the world. The park also has a visitor's information center within it that will give you all required information about the Park.

Jardines del Descubrimient: This Park is also known as the Garden of Discovery or the Seat of Columbus. The latter name comes from the great statue of Columbus that resides in the park. There are also other sculptures in the Park that represent the historical trip of Columbus to America.

Los Caprichos de Alameda de Osuna: This garden is named after one of the most aristocratic families of Spain. It is the tree-lined avenue in front of the family house that has been now transmuted into a spectacular garden.
