Taiwan Bus Travel

Transportation through road is one of the major means of transport in Taiwan. Included in the road transport system, the most important means is that of the buses. There are short distances as well as long distance buses. The buses running on the highways are maintained by the transportation companies that are privately owned. Some such companies are Guo-Guang Bus Corporation, Dragon Bus, Aloha Bus, Union Bus and the Free Go Bus Corporation.

The buses generally run on the highways and the freeways and 24 hours service is provided by some of the bus companies. The travelers are warned against taking any sort of illegal buses available at the highway. The local people usually call it Yeh Jee and these buses do not have a license of any of the transportation companies.

The travelers are recommended to avail the trains and the flights during the period of holidays as the highways and the freeways face serious jams.
