Buddha Yodfa Chulaloke in Bangkok is a monument which is also called as Phra Pathom Borommarachanusorn. This monument is situated at the foot of the Memorial Bridge Phra Pathom Borommarachanusorn. Buddha Yodfa Chulaloke is the monument which is named after the King Rama I of Chakri dynasty. This monument is built to honor the great king of Bangkok who had done various good works to uplift Bangkok. As the first king of Chakri dynasty he felt great responsibility. After ascending the throne he first constructed famous Grand Palace in Bangkok and the temple of the Emerald Buddha to protect the national palladium.

Though his reign had faced several wars with Burmese he continued to do various other activities simultaneously. He reconstructed various temples, revised and preserved the holy book of Buddhist religion. He had done a great job in the fields of literature and law. He assembled all the legal codes and accumulated them under the Three Seals of State. He invited the scholars to study and correct the literary classics. There are various literary works like Ramakian, Unnarut, Dalang and Inao which were revised and accumulated by him. The monument of Buddha Yodfa Chulaloke is built after his death to honor the works and efforts of the King Rama I.
